Privacy Policy
Effective May 20, 2026
Alchemic AI, Inc. (“Alchemic”, “we”, “us”) operates the website at alchemic.ai and the associated Alchemic platform (collectively, the “Services”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to information we receive through the Services. It does not cover any third-party sites or services we do not own or operate.
Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Contact submissions. When you submit the contact form, we collect the name, email address, organization, inquiry type, phone number (optional), and message you provide, along with the User-Agent and referring page of your request.
- Newsletter signups. When you subscribe to updates, we collect your email address and the source of the subscription.
- Account information. If you create an account, we collect your name, email address, password (stored only as a salted hash), and any organization, job title, or profile image you provide. We also record your approval status and role.
- Federated identity. If you sign in through Google, GitHub, or ORCID, we receive a unique identifier and basic profile information from that provider, governed by the permissions you grant during sign-in.
- Session and usage data. We use first-party cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to remember your theme preference. Our servers record standard log information such as IP address, User-Agent, referring URL, and timestamps for security and diagnostics.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data, payment card numbers, or information from children under 16.
How we use information
- To respond to your inquiry and follow up where appropriate.
- To provide, secure, and improve the Services, including authenticating users and enforcing access controls.
- To send product updates, research notes, and announcements when you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To detect, investigate, and prevent abuse, fraud, and security incidents.
- To comply with legal obligations.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers. Vendors that host infrastructure, deliver email, or provide authentication services, acting under contracts that restrict their use of your data.
- Legal and safety. Where required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Alchemic, our users, or the public.
- Business transitions. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to the protections of this Policy.
Customer scientific data
Customer data and scientific content processed inside the Alchemic platform are governed by the agreement with the customer, not by this Privacy Policy. We do not use customer data to train models for other organizations. Workspace isolation is enforced by default. See our Trust & Security page for the technical controls that back this commitment.
Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Contact submissions and newsletter records are retained while they remain useful for business follow-up. Account records are retained while the account is active and for a reasonable period after closure for audit and compliance purposes.
Your choices
- Access, correction, deletion. You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to legal exceptions.
- Unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe from email updates at any time using the link in any message or by contacting us.
- Account closure. Contact us to close your account.
To exercise these rights, email hxin@alchemic.ai.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted storage where applicable, role-based access controls, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International transfers
We operate in the United States. If you access the Services from another country, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
Children
The Services are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through the Services or by email where appropriate.
